Imagine living with a group of people who you can have a laugh with, mates who can cheer you up if you’ve had a hard day. Your housemates will know exactly how tough your life can be sometimes, because their life is tough too.
Flintwood’s group homes offer 24-hour supported accommodation for 18-65 year olds who are participants in the NDIS. Our homes have been created to provide you with as much independence and privacy as possible, while still supporting you with the care and assistance you need.
Each home can have up to five residents, and each home is different, its layout, its vibe, the people that live there. With 6 group homes currently in operation and a number of others in the pipeline, Flintwood hope to offer a large number of NDIS participants the independence and lifestyle they want.
Each home offers the same sky-high levels of support and care. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and practical. You can personalise your own zone so it feels exactly like home.
You and your housemates can create a feeling of joy and pride in your house by sharing household tasks as much as you can, having input into shopping and cooking and sharing meals together. Ultimately, our aim is not just providing you with a place to live, but a home you love.
Every Flintwood group home resident will have access to support networks as needed, and enjoy access to opportunities to learn living skills, self-care skills, practice decision making and positive communication.
Transport can also be provided for both practical and social outings.
Every home is run according to strict safety and care policies and procedures. Staff are carefully selected for the role of group home carer. Care is of the highest standard and staff are on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
