Highly qualified, experienced, and compassionate, they are deeply committed to the task of creating an offering that meets the needs of everyone who uses Flintwood’s services. As an NDIS provider, we know we must continually improve what we do for you and we’re ready for the challenge.


Jackie Romein – CEO


Jackie Romein has been leading the Flintwood team since 1999. During this time Jackie has propelled the organisation through many changes, the most significant being the transformational change as a result of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Her strategic and responsive mindset has enabled the success of not only the organisation, its staff and participants but also the families. Jackie prides herself on the fact that Flintwood is a family focused, flexible and fair service. She leads and mentors a team of 6 General Managers covering human resources, Finance and Administration and Operations.

Gerry Connolly

Gerry Connolly – General Manager Operations


Gerry Connolly commenced his career within the sector as a volunteer at Holroyd Special School in the early 90’s. He presently holds the position of General Manager within FLINTWOOD. Gerry actively promotes the rights for people with a disability and their families. With more than twenty five years experience he is passionate about empowering others to succeed and to achieve independence through building upon capacity.

Kay McPartland – General Manager Operations


Kay McPartland has been with Flintwood since 2004 and in the role of GM since 2010. Kay has extensive experience in the operational aspects of disability service with an emphasis on the set up and running of accommodation services. Kay’s strengths include her ability to build rapport with families and understanding the needs of our participants. Kay motivates her staff by being a hands on and inclusive Manager with the capability to strategically analyse the environment in which her services operate.

Mat Flynn  – General Manager – Operations


Mat Flynn is an experienced leader who has worked in the not-for-profit sector for twenty years. He holds a  Bachelor of Social Science and Post Graduate Certificate in Policy and Applied Social Research. Mat has worked with a number of different target populations with an interest in providing support to individuals with complex needs through partnerships and collaboration. Since taking on management roles Mat has focused on increasing the quality of service delivery through evidence based practice, staff development and research.

Steffani-Jade McDonagh – General Manager – Operations


Steffani has been a General Manager with Flintwood since May 2018 and has over 18 years experience in the Not for Profit Sector, including over 15 years in senior charity management. This has covered roles in community and disability supports. Her experience spans several countries including South Africa, Ireland, England and now Australia. Having led or been a senior leader in four other charities she has a wealth of experience in political lobbying, advocacy, training and business management but most critically of delivering, developing and enhancing services to clients.

Megan Vicary – General Manager – Operations


Megan Vicary joined Flintwood in May 2019 with over 25 years of experience in the corporate, government and NGO sectors. Megan’s drive for inclusion, person centred culture of support, and development of quality programs has led to many successful outcomes for participants, their families and carers. She has been involved in the transition to the NDIS and supported the implementation of quality and sustainable service models. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science – Psychology and Criminology. Megan has also been a member of many committees across the NGO sectors over the years for a diverse range of disadvantage communities. Megan places a great deal of importance in values alignment with her professional works intent.
