Flintwood’s Day Services are available at any of ten locations in Sydney, focussed mainly in the North and West, with two on the Northern Beaches. Our day services provide recreation and leisure activities and education opportunities to NDIS participants aged between 18 and 65.
Our Day Service covers a wide range of abilities, and we’d like to know more about what you like to do and how we can help you, before we ask you details about your disability. This is because our Day Services are set up to handle a huge range of needs and abilities so we’re pretty confident we can take care of you. What we really want to do is to make you happy, to teach you (if that’s what you want), to entertain you with things you like to do, to take you out (if you choose) or to stay in (if you prefer).
It’s incredibly important to us, that you get the most from your day with us. As long as your NDIS package covers Day Services, we can help you. We’ll make it a priority to discover your goals and plans and help you reach and fulfil them.
Some of the services we offer include independent living skills, education programs (you tell us what you want to learn), pre-vocational training (to get you ready to find a job) or even work experience, so you can see how well you’re suited to your chosen career.
We’re also able to get you out on day trips and leisure activities, usually with a group of like-minded participants but you can opt to go alone if your package allows it. Transport to and from our Day Services is up to you to arrange.
One each at Castle Hill, Kingswood, Penrith, Seven Hills and Pennant Hills, two at Brookvale and three at Harris Park.
The service is open between 8.00 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday. You decide how often you wish to attend, depending on your needs and your NDIS package.
Flintwood Day Services generally close for 2-3 weeks over the Christmas and New Year period and one week mid-year, usually in July.
